        OnCourse is a course driven website.  Select your Term, Department, Course Number and Section and the textbook(s) for that class will be displayed.  This is the easiest and most effective way to search for your textbooks.

        You may also search by ISBN, title, or the author’s last name. To search by ISBN, key in the exact 10 or 13 character ISBN into the search box.  No need to enter dashes.  The ISBN is typically located on the back cover of the textbook.  It may also be found in the first few pages of the book on the copyright page printed near the copyright date.  To search by author, key the first authors last name in the search box.  If an exact match is not found, the closest match to your criteria will display.

        The length of delivery time will depend on the shipping method you have chosen, and the time in which we received your order.  If an order is received by 2:00 p.m. CST, it will be processed and shipped that day.  Orders received after 2:00 p.m. CST will be processed and shipped the following business day.  Orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday, or a national holiday will be processed and shipped the following business day.  Backorders will ship as soon as inventory becomes available.

        OnCourse does not require a signature, however many carriers and shipping methods require signatures.  If a signature is required, the driver will leave instruction on how to obtain your package.  

        A signature is required for expedited shipping.  Someone over the age of 18 must be able to sign for the package when it is delivered.  For more information about expedited shipping delivery requirements please see the shipping company’s website for details.

        For all returns to OnCourse, you must obtain an authorized return number by calling or emailing customer service.  Your order number will be required to process a return with customer service.  Please include in email or have ready when you speak to customer service.  The time requirement to request a return authorization is up to seven (7) days after the start of the current semester, or within seven (7) days of receiving the original order, whichever is later.

        All textbooks or materials which includes a sticker stating, DO NOT OPEN, No Return if Opened, Not Returnable if shrink-wrap is broken, etc., may not be returned if opened.  If you received an item that is shrink wrapped, and does not contain any warning stickers, you may remove the shrink wrap to check the contents without voiding your ability to return the item.  

        Textbooks which include an access code may not be returned if the access code is sealed and that seal has been broken.  

        Please contact customer immediately if you experience the following issues with your return.  Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal!  
        1.    You received a textbook or item which is incomplete or has missing parts, such as an access code.  
        2.    You received a damaged textbook or item.
        3.    If you are seeking a refund for your return

        All returns must be received within ten (10) business days from the issue date of the return authorization number.  The textbook(s) must be returned in their original condition.  OnCourse reserves the right to downgrade an item and adjust the credit amount if the item if poorly packed and bruised in transit back to our facility.  Refunds will be processed once the textbook(s) has been received at our facility and is deemed to be in its original condition.  We highly recommend that you insure and ship your return via UPS or U.S. Postal Service.

        OnCourse is not obligated to issue a refund for return shipments that do not arrive at our facility.  Refunds will be issued for authorized returns within five (5) business days after receipt of returned item(s).  Textbooks returned to us without a return authorization number will not be processed for a refund and the textbook will not be returned to you.  All returns are at the customer’s expense except when merchandise is sent in error or is damaged.  COD returns will not be accepted.

        Our goal is to have all textbooks available for purchase before the first class day.  If a book is on backorder, we will process your order when the textbook becomes available in our inventory.  OnCourse’s inventory is real-time and is continuously updated throughout the day.  

        We work to acquire textbooks from our sources all over the U.S.  If we do not have an outstanding order for the textbook you need, we will special order it for you.  After a textbook is special ordered, it typically arrives to you in eight to ten business days.  
        Course Supply Kits contain a selection of supplies that are chosen by your professor to be used in their course.  Course Supply Kits may include lab supplies, art supplies, or any other tool that students will need for that course.  They are offered at a discounted rate to help students save money while buying supplies for their classes.

        4.   Check the box next to the textbook image in the Sell Cart to select the book you would like to add to the cart. 


        5.   Click ADD BOOKS TO CART


        6.   Repeat steps 1 – 5 for each book you would like to sell. 


        7.   Once you have added all the books you would like to sell click on CONFIRM QUOTE.  The total quote value must be at least $10.00 to confirm your quote. 


        8.   Select the payment type and enter the information for whichever payment type you select.


        9.   Check the box to accept the Terms and Conditions of Virtual Buyback.


        10.   Click on PROCEED TO PRINT SHIPPING MATERIALS


        11.   Download and print your pre-paid return label.  You should receive an email and/or text message with your buyback quote number.

        When you rent a textbook, you pay a discounted price to use the book you need for the semester.  It’s ideal if you don’t want to keep the book and want to save some money.
        You can use any form of payment including financial aid and campus cards where available.  You will need a credit card on file for securing purposes in case you forget to return the rental.  Don’t worry, we won’t charge the card unless you forget.

        Having your credit card declined can be frustrating, embarrassing and little bewildering.  Here are a few reasons your card might be declined:

        •    Your card has a daily spending limit
        •    You have reached your credit card limit
        •    Your purchase was flagged as fraud
        •    You are outside of your normal spending geography
        •    Your card has a different billing address than what you entered
        •    You have a large pending transaction
        •    Your credit card is expired
        •    Your credit account was closed without your knowledge

        Regardless of the reason, it is wise to contact your credit issuer immediately.
        Rental return dates are set so you can use the book for the entire semester.  The return date is almost always the last day of finals.  We'll send you  reminder texts and emails at the end of term to help you remember to bring your rented books back. 
        The rental return date will appear on your order confirmation.  By placing your rental order with OnCourse, you agree to use OnCourse online rental returns process and to return the rented merchandise to OnCourse using the printable, prepaid UPS shipping label that is provided as part of the process. You will be emailed a reminder that will include your prepaid UPS shipping label.  You agree that failing to use OnCourse online rental returns process and/or the provided shipping label may result in you not getting credit for your rental return.
        You will see the rental option on the book record just like you see below.  Access codes and other consumable materials are about the only things that cannot be rented.


        Normal highlighting and note taking are certainly allowed.  Just don’t go crazy.  The next person may not appreciate excessive markings.
        If you don’t return the books by the due date, we will charge your securing credit card a replacement fee and non return rental processing fee.  We don’t want to,  but we were counting on getting your book back for use next semester so now we’ll have to buy another one.
        The fees are based on replacement costs and are estimated to be 75% of the new book price plus 7.5% of the book price. It may seem like a lot but remember we have additional expense related to replacing the book you didn’t return.
        We'll send you  reminder texts and emails at the end of term to help you remember to bring your rented books back.  Your original email order confirmation will also contain the rental due date.
